The Thought-stirring Birth Of Christ

Text: Matthew 1:18-25   IBCGH    December 25, 2005

Preacher: Pastor Jose B. Cabajar

In Matthew 1:19-20, it is written, Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. (KJV) These passages about Joseph's thought remind us of the thought-stirring birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Another passage from the Bible that could make us realize how thought-stirring the birth of Jesus is written in the book of Luke. In Chapter 1:34, it is written, Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? (KJV) Evidently, the birth of the awaited Messiah was thought-stirring.

It's too high for humankind to comprehend the ways of God, but through faith-producing Scriptures, we would realize that all things are possible with God. In Isaiah 55:9-10, it is written, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (KJV) Truly, the birth of Christ was a wonderful manifestation of God's awesome work, and was done miraculously for the benefit of fallen man.
